Women Organizing Resources, Knowledge and Services (WORKS), is celebrating the opening of its second Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) development, “Teague Terrace.” This development was named in honor of Ruth Teague, a Champion of PSH.

The Teague Terrace Opening Blessing and Celebration is open to the public. Please R.S.V.P. to investincommunity@worksusa.org.

Free limited parking will be available at the adjacent Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Teague Terrace is a new affordable housing community that consists of 56 apartment homes, including 7 efficiencies, 48 one-bedrooms and 1 two-bedroom manager’s unit, with 39 units awarded Project Based Section 8 Vouchers. This PSH development is home to persons with developmental disabilities, and formerly homeless special needs populations including veterans, other individuals, small families and seniors whose incomes are at or below 40% of Area Median Income or just over $1300 per month for a single individual. WORKS is partnering with Housing Works to offer its residents appropriate on-site supportive and other enriched services, as well as energy efficiency upgrades that may earn a LEED Gold Certification designation.
