“Addressing homelessness in all facets is the defining issue of our day - City Council is putting more focus & effort than in all my years in office through Homelessness & Poverty Committee - we continued that work by voting to create a Homeless Coordinator, creating a storage plan, decriminalizing homelessness while making sure we keep our public sidewalks passable for all to use, among other actions - a full implementation homelessness strategy coming by January 2016. The work continues!” – Councilmember José Huizar
