A: These items are taken care of by the Department of Transportation. For both Parking Meter and Curb Color concerns, the Parking Meter Division assists our Office in accomplishing tasks. A: There are several options for you to pursue in helping you with housing issues / landlord concerns. Below are several venues for you to investigate.

Los Angeles Housing & Community Investment Department (HCID) is an integrating the operations of the Los Angeles Housing Department and the Community Development Department. They do 1) Housing Development, 2) Community Services & Development, 3) Regulatory Compliance & Code, plus have several online services. Their website is www.hcidla.lacity.org and phone 1.866.557.7368.

You can also reach out to the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA). Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles is a nonprofit law firm that protects and advances the rights of the most underserved – leveling the play field and ensuring that everyone can have access to the justice system. The LA Law Library (http://www.lalawlibrary.org) and Public Library (https://www.lapl.org) system offers free workshops and access to legal reference books.

A: For loose trash on the street or sidewalk, overflowing sidewalk trash cans or illegal dumping contact 3-1-1. A: recycLA, first.

The City of Los Angeles has launched a public-private partnership that will, for the first time in the history of the City efficient waste and recycling, provide services to all commercial and industrial businesses, institutions, and large multifamily buildings. It moves us closer to achieving “zero waste” through pioneering waste reduction, reuse, recycling, and recovery programs.

A:  Please contact LAPD’s Noise Enforcement Team. They are responsible for Noise Enforcement Team entails Early/Late Construction , Early/Late Deliveries, Early/Late Trash Pick-Up, and Music Emitting from Nightclubs.

Barking dogs, construction equipment, amplified musical instruments, trash trucks, and loud parties are all examples of noise found in major urban areas. Understandably, certain noise levels must be tolerated by all citizens in order for normal functions of urban life to continue. However, excessive, unnecessary, and/or annoying noise is subject to regulation.

Contact LAPD Noise Enforcement Team at (213) 996-1250.  Follow this link to their website on the current ordinances in place.
