On February 21 at 3 p.m., the Los Angeles City Council's Homelessness and Poverty Committee will hear Councilmember Huizar's motion requesting the City increase its Sanitation work crews and give proportionate service where it's actually needed, such as DTLA.
The City has a backlog of 5,600 requests for encampment cleanups in all 15 districts. However, CD14, CD13 and CD9 have higher encampment populations and make up nearly 60% of the backlog.
If you believe resources should be deployed proportionally in order to address the areas of demand, please come show your support and give your public comment for the record.
