Green Alleys

Council District 14 is working with  neighborhood BIDs, and the Los Angeles Department of City Planning to redefine the use and purpose of neglected alleys into safe, accessible, and green community spaces. Three alleys in Downtown LA were chosen as pilot projects under the DTLA Forward initiative. These include: South Park – pilot from the South Park BID; Arts District – pilot from a community organization, Industrial District Green; Harlem Alley, – pilot from a private property owner, Gilmore Associates.
