The Los Angeles City Council adopted Councilmember Huizar's Invest In Youth motion. The motion calls for a comprehensive report from the City on youth services investment and ways we can improve.
The motion, which was seconded by Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson, calls for a comprehensive analysis assessment of all the funding and programmatic ways the City supports youth in Los Angeles through cultural, educational or rehabilitative services. Huizar collaborated with Boyle Heights’ youth advocates on the motion.
"Our kids are our greatest asset and it is in our best interest to know that each and every dime we spend reflects our commitment to our youth,” said Councilmember Huizar.
