$4.6 million dollars has been secured to build a junior arts center at the vacant Bridewell Armory. Representatives from the Bureau of Engineering will present their options for the site and will be soliciting feedback from the community. The Department of Cultural Affairs and the Department of Recreation and Parks will also be present to talk bout potential uses for the site.
This project is another improvement being brought to Highland Park. other recent park improvements include $2.875 million for a new park at York & Avenue 50, a $600,000 renovation oft he Highland Park Senior Center, and almost $4 million in improvements at Garvanza Park.
